The overall purpose of this project was to meet several developmental goals of the Lake City Greenway project; (1) improve access to existing city parks, lakes, and other amenities of the community; (2) allow for multiple access points which provides for safe walking, jogging, bicycling, and skating; (3) foster family outings with scenic, healthful, and educational activities; and (4) promote tourism and improve community marketing for business and professionals considering relocation to the City of Warsaw. This multi-jurisdictional project is a seven mile linear bicycle/pedestrian trail system that connects the Central Park, the Business District and ends at the Winona Lake Park. The Chinworth Bridge (pictured top left) was completely rehabilitated and another historic truss bridge (pictured top right) from a separate location was moved to this trail. Project Location: Warsaw, Indiana |
