Ken Herceg & Associates, Inc. designed masonry restoration, roof repairs and window replacements for this historic landmark structure. Repairs extended the life of the building and restored the historic appearance. The masonry restoration included an inventory of the structure so that the owner paid for only repairs that were needed. Under our supervision, the repairs were done to match the existing masonry and comply with the requirements of the Historic Preservation Committee. The front steps and porch were reconstructed replicating the tile floor decorative pattern. An automatic snow and ice melting system was installed on the porch to eliminate the need for limestone damaging salt. Roofing repairs dealt with leaky flashing, rotted wood, and roof edge repairs. The roof repairs of ornamental copper flashing and decorative finials preserve the historic appearance of the building.
